THE
CATEGORIES

$5,000 IN PRIZES FOR EACH CATEGORY

There are five categories in the Whalebone Magazine Photo Contest for Photographers and you can enter as many as you like, so that means five chances for you to win the top prize in each category, but you can also enter as many photos as you like in each category so that pretty much means, and we’re not mathematicians here, but, carry the one and you get… more than five chances. It’s $5 to enter and the grand prize in each category is $4,000 smackers or schmeckles or clams or whatever the kids are calling them these days. Two additional finalists in each category will also win $500.

The rules and all of the things the lawyers made us put in can be found here.

THE
JUDGES

You do not have to have extra vowels and S’s in your name to be a judge of the Whalebone Magazine Photography contest. But apparently it helps. Danny Clinch, Walter Iooss and Morgan Maassen are really nice guys, but they aren’t always able to look at every photographers work they might like to. Lucky for us and for you, they’ve got some extra time at home right now and are happy to spend that time helping us to find and celebrate some awesome photographers.

WALTER
IOOSS

One of the greatest sports photographers in the world known for his images of Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and Tiger Woods.

DANNY
CLINCH

Photographer and film director famous for his music photography.

MORGAN
